L&C members present their work at Etmaal van de Communicatie-wetenschap[February 6, 2020]
Several members of the Language & Communication research group have presented their work at the Dutch-Flemish conference ‘Etmaal van de Communicatiewetenschap‘ (24 hours of communication science). This conference took place on February 6 and 7, 2020, in Amsterdam.
Karin Fikkers presented a study conducted together with MA-student Lotte Middendorp, titled “The future is now: The effect of gain/loss framing in climate stories on hope, fear, and climate policy support”.
Bregje Holleman presented her study “May contain peanuts”. The risk assessment and appreciation of Precautionary Allergen Labelling (PAL)”, co-authored by Harmieke Van Os-Medendorp and Liselotte Van Dijk.
Hans Hoeken shared his newest project with Daniel O’Keefe: “Is There a Persuasion Magic Bullet? Mean Effect Sizes and Prediction Intervals for 31 Message Variations”.
Our group was further represented by PhD student Jelle Strikwerda and our newest assistant professor Charlotte van Hooijdonk.
